Repair of the mechanical steering of an extendable platform, with hydraulic steering, Trayl-ona
The repair involved replacing the turntables of all axles and the fifth wheel.
To carry out this task, the first step was to remove the axles, starting with the meticulous disassembly of the wiring, steering bars, and steering cylinders.
To optimize the support of the bearings, a two-component leveling paste was used to improve their proper seating.
Once this process was completed, the assembly of the new turntables on the frames of each of the three axles was initiated, as can be seen in the provided images.
This repair is yet another testament to the importance of maintaining good maintenance on semi-trailers destined for special transport. Proper maintenance not only extends the equipment's lifespan but also minimizes the likelihood of future mechanical failures, thus ensuring safe and efficient operation at all times.
